Finding his cadence within the sacred walls of Northern M.B. Church, Jared's passion for drums flourished. By the age of four, his percussive talents harmonized seamlessly with the church's melodies. At five years old, he embraced both his spiritual awakening and his musical purpose through baptism.
As the years unfolded, Jared's skills refined, and his fervor for percussion deepened. A graduate of Francis Howell High School, Jared's journey continued as he joined the ranks of the Marching Band and Jazz Band. His unwavering commitment and musical curiosity propelled him forward, leading him to his next chapter at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. There, he embarks on a path of exploration in Jazz Performance, seeking to fuse his rhythm with innovation.
Despite his young age, Jared's talent and dedication have already led him to numerous achievements. At just 19, he has completed multiple overseas and U.S. tours with the legendary trumpet player Jeremy Pelt. Additionally, he has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Ptah Williams, Eric Wyatt, Bob Deboo, Keyon Harrold, Luther Allison, and countless others.
Jared's pursuit of musical excellence has led him to embrace diverse opportunities. His participation in notable jazz programs and summer camps, including the JazzU Program at Jazz St. Louis, Webster University's Jazz Camp, and YoungArts, speaks to his commitment to growth and artistic evolution.
